Life After Death (Series)
Life After Death is an ongoing series of mixed media paintings that explores several cultures and traditions around the world surrounding the concept of mortality. Each depiction utilizes elements from the culture being represented along with the imagery of flowers to create a personification of death. These works borrow elements from the traditional paintings as depicted in memento mori artwork, while alluding to post-mortem photography through the inclusion of an oval shaped canvas.
